 Child's Voice
Your child needs you both in his or her life....
What can you do to make that happen, well beyond mediation?

When parents not only mediate, they also work with a children's specialist to bring their child's voice into mediation, both parents are more likely to remain engaged*.

By signing up for "Child's Voice", your mediation will be supplemented with a visit to a child advocate from Heart Connections Counseling. They will explain how your child's story will be gathered, then shared later with you, the other parent and your mediator.

You as parents* will still be making the decisions in your parenting plans;they will simply be much more enlightened decisions.

*child's view is not intended to be used as court testimony, simply to help you as parents better understand what's happening for your child(ren).

Child Advocate, Heart Connections Counseling
Learn more about Heart Connections Counseling. They offer excellent ways to help children open up about what's happening for them, and how to help parents understand and connect with that.  Art, play, sand tray and just talking are among the many ways to help your child(ren) tell their story.
Cost* of Child's Voice Mediation
Child's Voice Mediation is priceless as a first step in engaging parent's involvement throughout their child's "new life" (post-separation). Adding that to the mediation process is only and additional $225 to cover the child advocate and $125 for the extra hour of mediation time to incorporate what comes out of the child advocate session.

*When multiple sessions are required to get the story of more than one child, or if you plan to use mediation time for getting assistance with agreements beyond the parenting plan, additional charges will be applied.

Compare that $350 to litigation, which typically costs parents $15,000 - $30,000.
